CrakrJak, I agree with what you're saying but not the whole statement. In my opinion there is no such thing as reverse racism. It's just racism. Racism is singling anyone out due to their race. It doesnt matter whether or not they're a minority. So in my opinion there is no 'reverse racism' but there is an extreme amount of racism against the majority. |

Why most everything have to do with liberals and conservatives? Seriously, way to connect the big bad liberal media with why white people are afraid of coming off as racist. Im sure it has nothing to do with a long history of bigotry and ignorance. White people do not want to appear racist because we have such a long history of being racists that we go out of our way to not appear as such. Why must people label everything? Its that exact kind of labeling that causes this stupid problem in the first place. Political correctness is a disease, and every one is racist. African Americans make more jokes at the expense of the darker skins then any other race. |

This kind of crap makes my blood boil. I work at a hotel, and was speaking on the PHONE with a black gentleman (hardly a gentleman) over a dispute about a bill. He had never seen me in person therefore had no idea what color I am, yet called ME a damn racist. |

Because most media is ran by liberals that believe black people cannot ever possibly be racist. And they'll turn it around and say that white people aren't sensitive enough. And the white person has to immediately apologize even if they did nothing wrong. |

Frankly, Black people need to be lectured on the 'importance' of diversity more than any other demographic I can think of (see the "No Homo" submission). This is ridiculous. How would the black community respond to somebody complaining about the inability of a Negro (who doesn't match the majority's 'skin color') to represent an overwhelmingly White university as a whole?All this controversy does is further discourage White Americans from participating in activities/events in which the majority of other participants do not correspond to them ethnically. There's your reversal. Call it "Punishing the Victim," or in this case, the Victor, for winning on merit (subjective to the judges of course). Only in America could a letter requesting the President (who happens to be half-black, by the way) to address the importance of diversity on campus, be taken as offensive to those who've historically most propagated its importance! |

It probably has something to do with the fact that we're all freaking human. Once we accept that fact, and realize we have FAR more in common than we'll ever have different, we'd get along a lot better. |
